Pastel Time
I think that this one does show late afternoon light. It is, however, a bit overworked. The values are getting closer but I wonder about some of the cool colors. Brad noted that the trees on the mid range horizon were too dark, so I lightened them. . . . but perhaps not enough. This painting sits on my painting desk waiting for me to frame it or give it a rest in the boneyard. It may be my best pastel of this size but again, I feel like it can be much better. The least worked area is the far mountain range.
